I make a point to catch as many live bands as possible in the Grande Prairie area. And honestly, we've had our fair share of tribute acts come thru. At times, I've really struggled as to how to describe 'yet another' tribute act. Not so, when it came to catching the WHO MADE WHO show at The Great Northern Casino.
So much can be said about this incredible band, but this pretty much sums it up: "IF YOU WANT BLOOD, YOU GOT IT!!"
The lead vocals from 'Brian Johnson' left me shaking my head in disbelief. It blew my mind how good this guy was. Truly. IT BLEW MY MIND.
Any one that's been involved with live music can appreciate the challenge of a vocalist hammering out an AC/DC tune at a show. Now try it for 2 hours, night after night for weeks on end. Now, no one hate me for saying this---but in my opinion, 'this guy sings AC/DC better than the real Brian Johnson'. No short cuts or liberties were taken on any of the vocals. He nails every note, every scream with killer precision.
With unbelievable backup vocals, dead-true guitar solos, and seasoned musicians that are living AC/DC with every ounce of respect possible---this band truly has to be 'heard to be believed'.
Tribute acts take notice: If you want to do it right, take a lesson from WHO MADE WHO.
I also can't pass the opportunity to pay huge kudos to THE GREAT NORTHERN CASINO, for stepping out of the box, mixing up their genres & bringing in some great ROCK bands. On behalf of all live music fans, Thank you.
